Conference of

The Americans Conference of Mayors  (ACM), that include the Americans Conference of City Councilors (ACCC), is a New Mexico State registered nonprofit association of municipalities in the Americas to promote collaboration and best practices for the public and community. We are the institutional non-governmental neither partisan organization of municipalities with any size of the population from any country in the Americas, also collectively called America. The Americas encompass the totality of the continents of North America, Central America, and South America. Each municipality or city, from the Americas, is represented in the ACM and ACCC by its current Chief Elected Official, mainly called the mayor or the city councilor.

The ACM and the ACCC Institutions hold its Annual Americas Conference. Additional meetings and events are held as directed by the ACM and/or the ACCC Institution leadership. The ACM and the ACCC Institutions Leadership is formed by a Chair, a Vice-Chair, a Second Vice-Chair, and the President & CEO who is an Ex-Officio Member of the Governing Board, and he is responsible for running and presiding the Executive Committee.

The ACM and the ACCC Institution's mayors and city councilors agree with a united voice on public and social international best practices and policies. Mayors contribute to the discussion of domestic and international public policies by serving on one or more of the conference’s committees. The ACM and the ACCC  Institution's policies and programs are developed and guided by an Executive Committee and Advisory Board, as well as the standing committees, committees, and task forces.

During the Annual Summit and Conference, standing committees and committees recommend policy positions they believe should be adopted by the ACM and the ACCC. Every member attending the annual meeting is given the opportunity to discuss and then vote on each policy or best practice resolution. Each city, represented by its mayor, or group of city councilors in each municipality or city casts one vote. The policy positions or best practices adopted at the annual meeting or Summit collectively represent the views of the Americas Conference of Mayors and City Councilors Institution.

In addition to the ongoing work of the ACM and ACCC Institution's standing committees, and committees, mayors and city councilors are organized into task forces to examine and act on issues that demand special attention such as economic development, human rights, democracy, poverty, and so on.
